HILLTOP ROAD PUBLIC SCHOOL
"On your Bike" Program
Our idea was to implement a bicycle education program for the students, families and community of Hilltop Road Public School. The project aimed to introduce cycling to our community and through the initiative, teach the participants how to ride and maintain a bike, as well as enhancing their knowledge and understanding of the road traffic environment and road laws. The program aimed to educate participants on the safety aspects and health benefits of cycling, as well as providing information about access to local Holroyd cycling tracks and facilities
Since receiving this grant our original idea of the On your bike program has exceeded our expectations we have partnered with advantageous to attend Bike Training Course in Campbelltown in Term 2
The whole school community would like to say Thankyou for the continued support from Club Merrylands Bowling

WIDEMERE PUBLIC SCHOOL
Head Start program
The staff and families of Widemere Public School wish to show their appreciation to Club Merrylands Bowling Group for the support to our school.
Receiving this much needed funding allows our school to more effectively support our new Kindergarten students and family’s successful transition in starting school through our ‘Head Start Program’. This gives all students in Kindergarten a ‘head start’ with their learning.
Funding from Club Merrylands Bowling Group allows our teachers to devise effective programs and to employ two full time School Learning and Support Officers (SLSOs) who implement these early intervention programs to assist with student learning for the first four weeks of school. This early intervention allows students to start school in a positive way no matter what their ability.
Thank you Club Merrylands Bowling Group! Our Kindergarten students are very happy learners

Stay in-front of the competition
Wenty Waratahs have had a fantastic season of Softball this year on and off the diamond. With 7 Junior Teams and 7 Seniors teams registered this season, and with our success of ten of those making the top 4 and 7 teams making the Grand Finals, has been attributed to not only the dedicated Coaches, Executive Team , Players, Parents and Spectators but highly attributed to the ongoing support from Club Merrylands Bowling Group. The partnership and support that the Club provides Wenty Waratahs Softball Club has enabled us to purchase a new gazebo which has been a great asset and meeting place for our team at events such as the CNSA Come and Try Day and has taken pride of place on the sideline at semi-final and grand final games. The Gazebo, symbolising our unity as a team and allowing us to advertise our partnership and support of Club Merrylands Bowling Group instils a great deal of sportsmanship and pride in our club. The Clubs support has also allowed us to stay in front of the competition by enabling us to purchase the most up to date Softball equipment which has helped our teams at training considerably. We continue to look forward to our affiliation with Club Merrylands Bowling Group and the ongoing support both this season and future seasons as all our members continue to enjoy the thrill of the game

SYDNEY WEST SCHOOL SPORT
Sydney West School Sport caters for sporting programs for over 50 000 students. Club Merrylands has been a long time supportive partner of the Sydney West Lawn Bowls programs and in integral part of the success of its teams and individuals. Whilst much of Club Merrylands support is in providing uniforms for all players, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, the greatest impact has been in allowing several development programs to occur. As a result, this year has seen the greatest number of participating schools in over a decade and Sydney West now has the most female participants and representatives in the State. Thanks to Club Merrylands, the sport of bowls is continuing to grow in our local schools - which is the opposite trend to all other areas in NSW

RIAS My Space, My Garden
We chose to utilise the funding to expand our courtyard within our unit, as we identified this as our main priority for young people and their loved ones to enjoy spending quality time together, which provides a space to bring people together whilst enjoying the natural light and fresh-air. The outdoor space has helped young people and their families with their mental health wellbeing and uplifting their spirits. We wanted to improve our courtyard so that we could provide a welcoming, open space with generous indoor and outdoor living areas.
We are sincerely grateful for your generous funding you have provided. Club Merrylands have definitely made a significant contribution to our young people and families experiences here at Redbank House
