About Us

Club Merrylands Bowling is your one stop venue for dining, entertainment, promotions, sport & shopping. With over 25,000 members, we pride ourselves in providing exceptional service. Come along and enjoy the fresh air and ambience under our external covered areas Outdoor Lounge or Alfresco Terrace and enjoy an afternoon or evening with family and friends.

We have three superb eatery options — two bistro styled cafes and a widely popular all you can eat buffet.

The Club consistently goes above and beyond in it's approach to the development and support of local community groups. Through the Club Grants scheme last year, the club provided over $250,000 in community funding. This was well over what is required. Club Merrylands Bowling also holds its own presentation evening to reward the funding recipients in person.

We have a multi-level carpark where you can gain entry via both Oxford and Cambridge Street. Currently, the Cambridge Street entrance is closed due to upgrades — again to help cater to our patrons. We have almost completed the first stage of the Clubs refurbishments and no expense has been spared for the comfort of our Members and guests.

From humble beginnings in 1948 to the present, this our 70TH anniversary milestone year will also mark the year we embark on the biggest investment into our club’s infrastructure in history, as works commence on the construction of our well-planned extensions to our clubhouse. An exciting time for all our members, to witness the master plan become a reality over the next 15 months.

We also remember with respect, our founding members who laid the flagstones for our club all those years ago and thank our long-standing members as well as our new members for your ongoing support as we enable progress, moving forward with the build.

In mid-February 2018, site fences will be erected along the Cambridge Street boundary were major earthworks will commence and the demolition of our old Auditorium to make way for the construction of a two-story structure that will envelope our new foyer off the carpark, our 1st floor function centre and our new eatery and multipurpose lounge and alfresco lounge pavilion. The Board has engaged the expertise of James Clifford Constructions to perform the build. Their top priority is to create minimal disturbance and inconvenience throughout the build, and to ensure we are able to operate “business as usual” while creating our new amenity.

The development could only be made possible with the ongoing financial support of our loyal members and customers over the years. And as a token of our appreciation, and to celebrate our 70 year of operation you will find on the Autumn magazine flysheet your Free Entry to our various monthly member’s promotions, all you need to do to redeem is renew your membership early.
