Club Merrylands Bowling Group is proud to stand alongside clubs across NSW in support of Purple Friday — a meaningful, state-wide campaign dedicated to raising awareness and taking a stand against Domestic and Family Violence.
Domestic and Family Violence continues to be a significant issue in Australia:
▪️ 1 in 4 women will experience DFV
▪️ More than half of women seeking emergency accommodation are turned away each night
▪️ In 2025, 77 women and 26 children lost their lives
▪️ The national cost is estimated at $26 billion each year
On Friday, 8 May, we’ll be going purple — across our venue, with our staff, and on our platforms — to encourage conversations around respect, safety, and support.
This day is about more than awareness. It’s about taking action, supporting one another, and reinforcing that everyone deserves to feel safe.
